Minutes of Meeting
April 16, 1968
The regular meeting of the Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Advisory Roard was
opehed by the secretary, Sirs. W. 0. 3dc4r, in the absence of the chairman and vice-
chairman, at 7:00 p.m. The minutes of the 'March meeting were approved.
Mrs. Virginia Hoff, manager of ^,lub Tico, gave the financial report of Club Tico,
reported on recent activities, and suggested having Club Tico open on Sunday
afternoons during the summer for Fort Collins teenagers and their guests. It
was thought advisable to try this to see how it works.
Mr. H. R. Phillips reported that the City Oouncil is in favor of building an
indoor sumimming pool in Fort Collins as a joint enterprise with the school
district. This was affirmed by Mr. Jerry Kissock, council member. 14r. Qhhillins
will assemble facts and figures preparatory to making definite plans for
further presentation.
ir. Rolland Moore reported that landscaping at Spring "ark and the service
center are completed, and his crew of men is busy with wing clean-uD. Mr.
Kissock requested a land fill for a sledding area in Spring Creek park.
Mr. Larry James reported that summer programs are in the planning stage. The
State Tournament in softball will be held in Fort Collins during the week of
August U.
The problem of whether fees and charges had been approved by the City Council
was raised. This will be investigated.
The meeting was adjourned.
