(revised 2/08/06)
The following items are included in the CDBG Commission's 2006 Work Plan:
1. Competitive Process Program Development
The CDBG Commission will continue to work to improve the Competitive Process
for CDBG, HOME, and Affordable Housing, and now Human Services Program
funds. The process involves a review of the application selection process, the
method for the solicitation of proposals, establishment of criteria for making funding
recommendations and the final selection of applications and recommendation for
funding to City Council. The enhancement of the Process is an ongoing goal, and is
usually made in direct response to applicant feedback and regulatory changes.
2. CDBG FY 2005-2006 Program Development
CDBG Program Development involves the continuation of the federally funded
grant program for activities such as acquisition, public facilities, public services,
affordable housing, and planning. The process includes a review of the application
selection process, solicitation of proposals, criteria for funding, and funding
recommendation.
3. HOME FY 2005-2006 Program Development
HOME Program Development involves the continuation of the federally funded
grant program for affordable housing and will include review of the application
selection process, solicitation of proposals, criteria for funding, and funding
selection.
4. Human Services Funding Program Development
The CDBG Commission will work to incorporate Human Services Program funds
(from the City's General Fund Social Services Contract -- formerly allocated to the
Community Partnership Program) as part of the City's Competitive Process.
Program development will include review of the application selection process,
solicitation of proposals, criteria for funding, and funding selection.
