Call To Order
Meeting was Called to order by Chairperson, Jae Campanella
11. Review of Pinutes

Motion was seconded and all approved.
11i. Old Business
The city engineering dept has contacted Nancy about speaking
u:ith the board. Rt an earlier meeting the board had
erxpressed some concern babout the design of the ramp that
the city installs. Along these same lines, there appears to
be concern about traffic lights. Nancy will contact those
two departments about having a representative speak at our
Nov. 12th Meeting.
The Shopping Spree is scheduled for Dec. 10th from 10 - 3.
Care-R-Uan and Saint will be assisting with transportation.
Refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Uolunteers
Till be needed to os5iRf with the nursing home residents,
Nancy will ask Diane to run a notice in the Senior Service
Finder.
Haney reminded the board about the survey for Long Range
Planning on transportation in Lolmer County. Each
Member was to submit their concerns to Nancy. Please, lets
a!1 make an effort to get our comments to Nancy as soon as
possible.
Joe and Nancy have contacted kei!y about filling Ilartha's
vacancy. The board has considered recommending Roxanne
3iaoCk, to that p081t i!]n.
iU. 6oals for 1936-1987
Joe discussed the goals that were set for the board and what
has been accomplished,
The Senior Service Finder has been continued aIcng with
guest speakers Pete McWilliams, and Nancy flcCambridge
speaking with the board.
The Information Outreach Task Force Committee
consisting of Joe and Ruby will be researching various
community surveys on the elderly and will report back at our
next mteeting.
The Quality of Life Senior Prom has been determined to
be inappropriate for our board to conduct. Norr_y explained
that through her department they sponsor a Prom bight.
The Patient Rdvocacy Committee will be presenting the beard
with the hospitoI'a ads ission's packet to see if
adequate infornaiton is being presented to the elderly,
regyarding patients rights.
Continuing with the possibility of a Senior on the
Hospital Board is Pat Long.
U. Hew Business
Ruby read c notice from Elderhaus about their new expanded
services now being offered. These services are provided 9 -
9 five days a week with a non -structured concept.
Vetto expressed her concern for the existing problem with
Latch Key Kids, Yetta felt that this problem could
possibly be an area where seniors could assist. The
concensus of the board is to continue to research any
possible alternatives to this problem.
There was c brief discussion about the establishment known
n4 :tarry Farm and ghat their, mission exactly is, Nancy
explained this to the board.
There was a recommendation to run a column in the Senior
Service Finder over the hciidays on types of solicitation
to be wary.
