COORDINATING COMMISSION FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
JUNE 8, 1977
The regular meeting of the Coordinating Commission for Senior Citizens
was held in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall at 2830 P. M. The
meeting was called to order by the Chairman C, E. Hommon,

The minutes of the meeting of May 12, 1977 were considered. Mr. Conlon
stated that he was present at the meeting on April 13, 1977, although his
name was omitted from the list of members present but later corrected in the
minutes of the meeting of May 12, 1977. He further stated that he wanted the
record to show that during his term of office he was absent from two meetings
and those absences were caused by his attendance at two funerals.
It was also noted that Mr. Robert Perez may have been given incorrect
information regarding the Colorado inheritance tax law but inasmuch as he is
no longer a member of the Commission nor a resident of the State of Colorado,
this matter was tabled.
A letter of resignation from Mr. Perez was read. The letter stated that
since he was leaving for California, his resignation should become effective
immediately.
Consideration was given to a letter from COLORADO RURAL LEGAL SERVICES,
INC., of 503 Remington Street, setting forth the services available to the
low-income elderly of Larimer County,
John D. McGraw, Human Resources Director, sent a copy of notes taken at
the Tuesday, June 8, 1976 Commission -City Council Meeting for the purpose of
refreshing the memories of the then Commission members and the information of
the new members.
Since the terms of office of Messrs. Hommon and Conlon are about to ex-
pire, Mrs. Azari suggested they furnish the members some information as to the
activities of the Commission during their terms of office. Mr. Hommon stated
that the latest accomplishment was the publication of the CITY OF FORT COLLINS
DIRECTORY OF SERVICES FOR SENIOR,CITIZENS, 1977.

He further stated that Mrs. Dunford made a summary from his minutes of
the activities of the Commission from September, 1974 to September, 1976
and furnished copies of this summary to the Commission members.
Mrs. Azart moved that Messrs. Hommon and Conlon be given a vote of thanks
and appreciation for the work which they have done while members of the Com-
mission. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Kenney and carried.
Mrs. Kenney read a letter which she had received from Reverend Frances
Bigelow, former Chairman of the Commission.
The Commission was furnished a copy of the City Council's Resolution in-
forming it of the appointment of 3 new members to the Commission and the
reappointment of.Mrs. Ginny Dunford, a present member of the board, namelye
