Old Business
1. Paint-A-Thon -- Joe gave his report on what he felt was
another successful year. The Board screened and prioritized the
applications. Twelve houses in the Fort Collins/Wellington area
and two in Loveland were painted. Joe felt that there should
have been more applications and believed that more advertising
was needed. Barb added that she should have had the applications
sooner and that the advertising should begin earlier next year.
Other suggestions included: taking brochures to agencies, more
radio ads, volunteer help in filling out the applications, focus
advertising during Older Americans Month in May. Joe will take
back the suggestions to Betty at First Interstate for next year.
New Business
1. Orientation of new members -- At the next meeting, the Board
will review the manuals, charges and goals of the Senior Advisory
Board.
2. Name tags were passed out to members. Barb was responsible
for getting them printed and the Board members expressed their
appreciation.
3. Manuals will be available before the next meeting. Questions
will be answered at that time.
4. Yetta suggeed that we have the Octom 11 meeting at
Columbine West so Mildred could attend. Kay will invite Ann
Azari to update the Board on the new Senior Center.
5. Future goals will be discussed at the next meeting. Joe
asked Board members to come up with suggestions.
6. Quilting Teacher for Parks and Rec attended the meeting to
tell the Board about the Christmas Down Home event that will be
hosted by the Senior Center. Crafts and canning and other "home"
product will be sold. It will be held on November 11 and 12th at
Lee Martinez. They are looking for crafters, either groups or
individuals. There is a $5 fee and 5% commission charged to pay
for the administrative costs and advertising. All remaining
funds will go to the new senior center.
From the Floor
1. Board members discussed the new cap fee that City Council
will be discussing. Joe felt it was unfair to restrict larger

will nominate them at the next meeting.
3. Kay will contact Allnut and put our agenda on the radio if
possible.

computer. If anyone knows of someone who might be interested in
helping please contact Pat. The school also need 30 b/w TV sets
donated for an electronics class.
