MEETING MINUTES
JULY 22, 1999
Those present at the July 22, 1999 meeting of Commission on Disability were as follows:
Stacey Abate of COD, Allan Apt of COD, Nancy Baker of COD, Laura Burnett of COD,
Don Fish of COD, Mary Kusabucy of CCP 491-0235, David Marckres of COD, Initha
Stuckey of COD, Lila Vizzard of COD, Steve Seefeld of City of Fort Collins, and Robert
Palmer of City of Fort Collins.
This meeting was devoted to analysis of the Service Meeting July 8 and planning for the
future. For the remainder of this year the schedule for meetings will occur as follows:
August 12th, and 26th
September 9th and 23`d
October 14t', and 28 h
November 18`s (Retreat) extended time from 12:15pm to 3:30pm
December 9`s.
Meeting locations will be discussed at the August 12, 1999 Meeting.
Amoung the the topics discussed, the following items are due for fartber discussion:
• Community Calendar of Events.
• Networking and asking Mark Kramer to head up the hot linking to at least: FirstCall
ServiceNet, Access by Design, and FortNet.
• City/Regional Resource Directory including: who creates the directory, Who has
information for the directory, How to keep information in the directory, How to make
the directory available.
Future meetings with Service agencies.
• Transportation grants and present status of Dial -A -Ride.
• Possible sign interpter for City Council.
• Plan for mayors' awards, including enlarging the event and obtaining speaker.
Next meeting will be August 12, 1999 in City Hall the IT conference room at 12:15pm to
1:30pm.
