COMMISSION ON DISABILITY

The minutes from the last meeting were approved.
The Board discussed changing the date/time for COD meetings to be
held. It was decided to keep the meetings as they are and once a
year hold one a different time so Mayor Kirkpatrick could attend.
The parking at the bowling alley on North College was discussed.
Mike Gebo suggested someone check out the entire building for
accessibility, not just the parking area. Roy Beachamp and Ray
Sanderson will report back to COD next month on what they find out.
Shirley Reichenbach stated she had received a letter from Mr.
Bonetti explaining why he didn't attend the last COD meeting with
his concerns. It was decided Mr. Bonetti will receive a copy of the
minutes from the last meeting.
Ray Sanderson reported that Transportation committee is meeting
weekly. They have had one public open meeting and plan another one.

Their report will be into the City Council by July 21, 1992.

Wendy Irving, City of Fort Collins Facilities, reported the city is
finalizing their priority list of city facilities/buildings. The
checklist is approximately 38 pages and there are 102 buildings on
the list to check.
Denise Scheberle reported they was no news from NOD.
Arne Andersen reported the employment committee is doing self -
evaluation and developing guidelines.
Shirley attended the AIA (Architects Institute Association) and the
topic was ADA and legal responsibilities.
Bob Wilmot reported the Forest Service group is pressuring motel
and hotels to bring their facilities up to ADA standards.
The meeting was adjourned.
