Visitor Al Buccili re-PRPA reserved parking: Complains that PRPA
is not responsive, PRPA has said that they will have it corrected
by January, 1995. Shirley will check with PRPA to better
understand their position and then write a letter to Gerry & Ann if
warranted.
Recreational Possibilities for People with Disabilities: Discussed
the purpose of the meeting tonight-- COD sponsorship was obtained
under the understanding that the meeting and telecast tonight will
be an education and awareness meeting, not a lobbying effort to
hire full-time staff.
Parking Enforcement for Handicapped Parking: Pat Kelly updated the
Committee on the status of the Police Department recommendation for
parking enforcement program. Problem with resources for data entry
and records, but they will try to work it out. Police
recommendation incorporates research on other program. It is
pretty well accepted that something will be done. The program will
be self supporting from ticket revenue, however a volunteer
coordinator may be needed.
The next step will be for representatives from the Police
Department to meet with Parking Enforcement to work out logistics.
Pat will send a memo out recapping the results of this meeting.
Multi -Cultural Commission: The City's Multi -Cultural Commission
will be made up from members of different boards & commissions.
Interviews will be held in June. Rita McGill volunteered to be the
COD nomination to the Multi -cultural Task Force.
E
Council Ethics Review Board: May 31 noon meeting to review the
issues re: complaint that Shirley may have had a conflict of
interest when she filed her complaint with the Casa Grande
homeowners association.

request for Dunbar & Horsetooth from an individual, Ken Vanderwal.
Pete will send the request to Transportation.
Workplan: Commission reviewed the workplan and assignments. Pete
will suggest a process for recognizing individuals, companies etc.
to foster awareness and rewards.
