Class C-01 applicant Bob Ballard currently holds a Class C license/ certi- ficate and does work strictly for the City of Fort Collins on public build- ings. On his renewal he could automatically have the Class C-02 plus the Class E license/certificate. Bob would never use the C-02 (multi -family construction) and felt the C-01 would be needed for future projects. Boardmember Trampe abstained from voting and left the room during discus- sion because of a possible conflict of interest. Boardmember Allison sat in as Chairman. Debbie explained to the Board that the test that is being given for the C-01 is the same test that Bob Ballard took to receive his Class C license/certificate. Boardmember Johnson made a motion to approve Mr. Ballard for a Class C-01 license/certificate with testing waived. The motion was seconded by Boardmember Sinnett. Motion carried. Wesley T. Gormley was approved for a Class D license/certificate. The following specialty licenses were approved: Brady Oil Company - Fuel Tank; Mark Richardson - Sign; Allen Plumbing 6 Heating - Fire Sprinkler. Other Business Election of Officers - Boardmember Sinnett nominated Larry Trampe as Chairman. The nomination was seconded by Boardmember Cornell. The vote was unanimous. Boardmember Sinnett nominated Boardmember Conard as Vice -Chairman. The nomination was seconded by Boardmember Allison. The vote was unanimous. Discussion on contractor licensing material that is given to the public: Boardmember Trampe explained to the Board that he wanted to look at the application and have everyone give ideas on how to change it to get more information. He also encouraged to Board to review all documents regarding licensing and at the October meeting, changes will be discussed. Building Review Board August 27, 1987 Page 2 Some preliminary suggestions: add date to signature line of reference sheet; have all Class D applicants submit five references instead of three; resume required; send out seven references - only five need be returned; simplify application - remove item #6 regarding relationship; any liens filed against project; have certificate holders renew yearly. These items will be discussed at the October meeting. Respectfully submitted, Larry Trampe, Chairman Debbie Zeigler, Y of Support
