MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FORT COLLINS WATER BOARD HELD JANUARY 27TH,
1964, AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Present; President Ward Fischer, Vice President Frank Ghent, Secretary
John Bartel, and Board member Fred Feit. Mayor Harvey Johnson and Board
member Norman Evans were absent. Also present were City Manager Robert F.
Boos, Assistant City Attorney Arthur E. March, Jr., Councilwoman Lorraine
Quinn and Councilmen L. J. McMillan, R. L. Colwell and Dr. C. E. Honstein.
Mr. W. W. Wheeler of W. W. Wheeler and Associates of Denver,
Colorado was present and after considerable discussion it was the
unanimous decision of the board members present to have Mr. Wheeler
prepare a proposal on a water feasibility study for the City of Fort
Collins and to present same at the next regular meeting of the Water
Board to be held February 10, 1964.
• It was also unanimously agreed that a recommendation come
from President Ward Fischer asking the City Council at their next
regular meeting to allow the Water Board the necessary funds to proceed
with the water study.
At the request of Rex Wells, Attorney for the West Fort Collins
Water District, Assistant City Attorney Arthur E. March, Jr. presented a
Plat showing the proposed boundary of the District and Memorandum of
Agreement. After discussion it was agreed that the Board defer action
until the District presents Exhibit B. Plat of Bondary Lines and Exhibit
C, type and location of pipe.
With nothing more to be brought up at this time the Board
adjourned.
