There was an accessible home on this year's parade, with a survey. Respondents were asked to give level on importance for various accessible features. The survey mentioned standard features for PHA home. Have copies of the survey. We tallied things up. No step entry 46% said it was important. Clear openings at door ways 97% important. Bathroom space: 73% very important 20% somewhat important. Main floor/kitchen 83% very important 13% somewhat important. There was a question from people, have you considered having PHA features? About 50% Would you consider in future? 96% said yes. Essentially none of the respondents had disabilities. We're informing and educating people that this is actually available. That house on the parade was sold on the spot, they don't have disabilities. Jay Stoner - the builder took three more orders for the exact same plan. Base was $280k selling $479k because of the way it was finished. There was not an accessible entrance to the downstairs, but the stairway would accommodate a chairlift. The builder was so impressed at how may it was, he's going to continue to build houses like that in the future. The builders say show us that people want it. The survey sets some sort of an idea to that. Heavy Doors Nothing except: Committed to doing it next year COD Brochures Done Distribution? Mark put some in the foyer of city hall.
