HomeMy WebLinkAboutWater Board - Minutes - 01/19/19656 A • MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE WATER BOARD HELD JANUARY 19, 1965, AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS Present: President Ward Fischer, Vice President Frank Ghent, Mayor Harvey Johnson and Secretary John Bartel. Also present were City Manager Robert Boos, Administrative Assistant Harold Lynch, Assistant City Attorney Arthur March, Jr., City Engineer Adam Fischer and Councilman James Guyer. Several representatives from each of the following Water Districts were present: Fort Collins - Loveland Dis- trict, East Larimer District, West Fort Collins District and North Weld District. President Ward Fischer expressed the City of Fort Collins stand in supplying water to anyone that wanted water. To this the Districts voiced a great deal of • opposition. After lenghtly discussion by all, it was agreed that board members from all Districts, the City of Fort Collins and the City of Loveland meet with the engineers and work out some type of an agreement whereby a subdivider may obtain water from either party without causing any undue hardship or ill feelings. At the January 7th, 1965, Council meeting the agree- ment on water rights offered by Greenwalt First Annexation was referred to the Water board for study and recommendation. After considerable discussion it was unanimously agreed that this contract between Leslie G. Everitt and the City of Fort Collins be amended to include: 1. Sherwood Ditch Stock be kept by owner • 2. Spell out in contract that the City have the right to dump storm water into Williams Lake. 3. That those responsible provide for an outlet for any excess water. h .t Rio r,0 • President Ward Fischer reported that I Heit had offered some water rights to the City and that he would report on these at a later date. It was also agreed to advise Wayne Hackett to obtain all the Big T water at $100.00 per unit that he could get. With nothing more to be brought up at this time the Board adjourned. Secretary, •
