Held March 2, 1966, at 4:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Room.
Present: President Ward Fischer, Secretary John
Bartel, Board Members Norman Evans, Frdd Fait, Owen Moore
and W. G. Wilkinson. Also present were City Manager Tom
Coffey, Administrative Assistant John Baudek, Mayor Harvey
Johnson and Council members Bennett, McMillan, Kruchteh and
Carson.
This meeting was called by President Ward Fischer
with the intent of discussing the water offered by Mr. John
Elliott of Denver and to appoint a member to represent the
Fort Collins Water Board on the Interim Committee being
• formed by the five cities interested in Mr. Elliott's pro-
posal. Motion was made by Fred Fait, seconded by Owen Moore,
that Mr. Norman Evans be appointed to represent the Water
Board. The President put the motion which was unanimously
adopted.
It was also agreed by those present that the City

Council, at their next meeting, appoint e#.her member to
represent the City on the Interim Committee. Mayor Johnson's
name was recommended.
After considerable discussion, it was unanimously
agreed that the members cooperate with the members of the
other cities and that the entire committee be alerted at all
times and keep ahead of Mr. Elliott's schemes.

that our members work
with the other
members and
explore the
possibility of coop-
erating with the outside water districts in the respect of
assisting them in making their districts pay, also the possi-
bility of, in the future, combining water storage, lines, etc.
It was also discussed that the Interim Committee of these
five cities work with the committee representing the five
cities on the electric energy tie-in and perhaps, in the
future, the two could merge as one operation. It was
recommended that Mayor Johnson attend the meeting called by
the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District for the
llth of March, 1966, and inform the Water Board and the Coun-
cil members of the results.
• There being nothing further to be discussed, the
Board adjourned.
