HomeMy WebLinkAboutWater Board - Minutes - 07/02/19680 July 2, 1968 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE WATER BOARD Held July • 2, 1968, in the Council Chambers. Present: President Ward Fischer, Vice President Frank Ghent, Board Members Harvey Johnson, Owen Moore., Norman Evans, Fred Feit, Dugan Wilkinson and Secretary John Bartel. Also present were members of the City, Karl Carson, Alvin Kruchten, Jerry Kissock, Harry Troxell, City Manager Tom Coffey, Assistant City Manager Tom Burgess, Director of Public Works Charles Liquin, Director of Finance Charlie Cain, Acting City Planner Robert Engelke, Consulting Engineers Joe Banner and Ken Wright Victor Meline, Manager of the Chamber of Commerce Merle Goddard, several Fort Collins citizens and the radio and press. The President opened the meeting by introducing Mr. • Robert Sheridan, Chief Engineer for Eastman Kodak. It was announced that the Eastman Kodak Company had purchased land in the Windsor, Colorado area and would like Fort Collins water, they would require as much as 6 million gallons per day when in full operation, however, there would be no hardship on the City as Kodak acquired plenty of water rights with the land. Mr. Sheridan stated he would meet with other cities in the vicinity of their property and again request to me5t with Fort Collins. The following memo was presented and read at length: WEST FORT COLLINS WATER DISTRICT June 25, 1968 Water Board, City of Fort Collins Font Collins, Colorado 40 Gentlemen: July 2, 1968 . Mrs. Marie Brubaker, a resident of Bellvue is in need of a Water Tap and in as much as we do not have a water line in tus area, City of Ft. Collins may serve Bellvue Water Association with the above mentioned tap. Yours very truly, /s/ Al Trieber, Manager West Ft. Collins Water District Motion was made by Dugan Wilkinson, seconcbd by Fred Fait, that the request be, granted. The President put the motion which was unanimously adopted.
