. MINUTES OF THE WATER BOARD'S ANNUAL TRIP Held July 31 and
August 1, 1969.
Present: Board members Harvey Johnson, E. V. Richardson,
Owen Moore, Fred Feit and Secretary John Bartel.
Also present were City Manager Tom Coffey, Assistant City
Manager Tom Burgess, Director of Public Works Chuck Liquin, Mayor
Carson, Councilmen Kruchten and Troxell, Director of Utilities Stan
Case and City Engineer Roy Bingman.
Also present were the following members of the Press,74d yoeds.
Charles Burch, Don McMillan, Harry Lehr, Mike Misel , Bob
Moninger and Loa.Pierce.
The trip covered J-96 miles between the Poudre Canyon and
-e tere, at Public Service Company at 9e!.�Creek Plat.
• The Director of Utilities, Stan Case, explained that the
rc.l.
Federal Government has plans for severa�/Jplsnts and reservoirs to be
constructed in the Poadre Canyon between the mouth of the Canyon and
Chambers Lake.
The caravan left the highway at Chambers Lake and°entered
Roosevelt National Park, following the Grand Lake Irrigation Ditch
and emerging just north of ':Granby U orado, then toured the Granby
Pumping Station under the supervision of Mr. Elmer Stevens, leaving
the station approximately 4:30 P.M., toured Willow Creek Reservoir,
then on to Windy Gap area, which the six cities areconducting a study
for water storage in tie areM to be brought to the Eastern Slope.
Members stayed in Winter Par'_, leavingthere Friday morning,
traveling to the Public Service Cabin Creek Plant. There we were
escorted throagh the plant by Mr. Jack Roach and Erwin Krueger and
Charles Smith.
