HomeMy WebLinkAboutWater Board - Minutes - 08/02/1965• MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FORT COLLINS WATER BOARD HELD
AUGUST 2, 1965, AT 4:00 P.M. IN THE OFFICES OF FISCHER, FISCHER
AND BEATTY.
Present: President Ward Fischer, Mayor Harvey Johnson, Assistant
City Attorney, Arthur March, Jr., Secretary John Bartel and Board
member Fred Feit.
The matter of the 21 shares of Mountain and Plains Water
stock offered by Gene Gischer and Jack Rauch was brought before
the Board again after the Board recommended to purchase some at
the meeting of June 29, 1965, at $100.00 per share. When the
City Attorney attempted to prepare an agreement to purchase these
shares, he was advised the price was now $125.00 per share, as
there were others interested in purchasing the stock. Motion
was made by Fred Feit, seconded by Mayor Johnson, that the Board
again recommends purchasing this stock as it is water that the
SCity can readily use.
The City Attorney stated he had been offered 2/36 shares
of Larimer County Canal No. 2 Irrigation Company Stock and 7/48
shares of New Mercer Ditch Co. Stock by Glenn W. and Dorothy D.
Manning as the water required with the land annexed. The Board
recommends purchasing the water stock and that the City Attorney
prepare necessary agreements.
The following communication was read at length:
