The minutes of the August 27, 1987 meeting were unanimously approved.
Class A applicants, Charlie Atwood and Richard K. Humphries of RKH Con-
structors, were denied Class A license/certificates. Their references did
not reflect Class A experience. Boardmember Baker felt that all of the
references were in the Class B category and made a motion to approve them
for a Class B license/certificate. Boardmember Allison seconded the
motion. The vote was unanimous.
Timothy Brown, Colorado Custom Cabinet 6 Millwork, applied for a Class B
license/certificate. Most of Mr. Brown's references confirmed cabinetry
installations and trim work experience. The Board felt that the references
definitely didn't show Class B experience and it was questionable whether
they would fall into the Class C or even the Class D. Boardmember Trampe
said he would like to see at least one house built from the ground up by
the applicant before approving the Class D license/certificate. The motion
was made and seconded to deny the application until further references are
received.
Don G. Moore was approved to test for the Class C-01 license/certificate.
Randall Trauernicht, LTD Builders, was approved to test for the Class D
license/certificate.
The following special applicants were approved: AAA Fire Sprinkler Inc. -
Fire Sprinkler; All -State Fire Protection - Fire Sprinkler; Lloyd Kotte,
Foothills Security - Alarms; German Sign Co. - Sign; Nathan Kyle, Mountain
States Fire Protection - Fire Sprinkler and Hood and Duct Installations.
Gracon Corporation applied for a special Fuel Tank license. They were
issued a temporary license on September 10, 1987. Their reference letters
did not apply to fuel tank installations or removals. The Board asked
Debbie to revoke the temporary license until they provide us with letters
dealing with fuel tank installations. Raju Jairam abstained from discus-
sion and voting on this issue because of a potential conflict of interest.
Discussion was held regarding changes to the application form and to the
reference form. The rough drafts that will be submitted to the Board for
further discussion are attached. They will also be reviewed by the City
Attorney.
The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Larry Trampe, Chairman
