Withrw, at 7:40 P. M. Members present were: James C. Keese, G. H. Palmes, Roy A. Portner, and Edward W. Withrow. Dr. Robert M. Lee entered the meeting later. Members absent: John D. Hartman and Robert W. Sears. Minutes The minutes of the meeting of February 3, 1959, were approved as presented. Corresponddece The Chairman announced there is to be an Institute for Planning Officials March 6 and 7, at the University of Colorao, anyone interested is invited to attend. The following correspondence was presented and discussed: February 28, 1959 Planning and Zoning Board City of Fort Collins Fort Collins, Colorado Attention: Mr. Edward W. This report is herewith submitted in accordance with the Contract for Planning Assistance, date July 1, 1957. Withrow, chairman planning and Zoning Board Re: Project No. Colo P-3 city Hall Fort Collins, Colorado City of Fort Collins Dear Mr. Withrow: Mr. Smith at the State Planning Division informed me yesterday that the City of Fort Collins has not certified its approval in writing as specified in Article VI, (c), of the Cotiract for Planning Assistance, date ,7uly 11 1957, of any of the materials submitted by me subsequent to January 20, 1958. I am sure that this is merely an oversite. It is hoped that this matter can be corrected in the near future. It is necessary for the Municipality to merely acknowledge receipt of the materials and its approval of the same. Very truly Yours, (signed) Harold Beier The secretary was instructed to write the State Planning Division certifing the receipt and approval of the materials submitted by Harold Beier subsequent to January 200 1958. • Mr. Beier presented a letter from J. K. Smith, Director, State Planning Division, inviting anyone interested, to attend a discussion by Doanld D. HHFA, March 5, in Denver on urban county White, of the regional office of assistance programs. Amended Planning Assistance sn'omitted by the State An amended Contract for Planning , referred Assistance plant .. vision, was presented by Harold Beier. This contract was to the City Council at their Contract to Mr. Palmes for his study and submittance next regular meeting. Re -zone The following petition for re -zoning, referred to the Board by the City Block 133 Council, was discussed: B - C IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF FORT COLLINS, AND OTHER, FOR CHAFE IN ZONING TO: THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS ATTENTION: CITY COUNCIL F6TTTION Come now the First Baptist Church of Fort Collins, and the parties the real subject undersigned, owners of more than one half of property of this petition, respectfully requesting the City Council for the City of Fort Collins to cause the zoning of said property, subject hereof, to wit: 0 l J • He -zone 1700-1730 W.Mnlberry Block 133, City of Fort C0111ns, Colorado: be changed to a "C" residence district imsofar as the same is not already so zoned. Petitioners, mundarsigmed, believe that the change in zoning here- with requested is, and will be to the best interests of the immediate neighborhood and the overall plan, development and growth of the City of Fort Collins. WHKRLFORE, Petitioners respectfully request the City Council for the City of Fort Collins to cause the zoning of the property above described to be all zoned "C" residence district.
