The following correspondence was presented Rnd discussed:
Ft. Collins Planning Board
Ft. Collins, Colorado
We the undersigned, ,feel that Section III, Article in the
nets proposed regulations for subdividers should be wwnded.
We feel that street lighting should be furntobed by the Utility
com"'T, which in this case vftld be the Ft, Collins 'Light
Company. We understand that this service has been f gushed
by the company in the past to the older part of Ft.' Collins
and should continue to be a, public service furnished by them,
We further feel that in view of the fact that the, new sub-
divisions have a higher sseessed vAluation 'and therefore
are carrying a fair percentage of their share of the tax load,
that the City of Ft. Collins should also furnish the street
signs. Again we understand that this has beentakencare of
in the Past in the older part of town, and as long as the new
Rreas are carrying a large share of the tax load it would
seem only fair that the City of Rt. Collins furnish the signs.
Mr. Palmes stated that the original street lights of the City were put
in by public subscription and purchased by the Light and Power Department
from the Pablie Service Company. He also.ststed that the"Z.ight Department
usually furnished the labor for installing the light* but the subdividers
Purchased the material at cost to the Department. It was m ved by Mr.
Keese and seconded by Dr. Lee that Section III, Article h of the Sub-
division Regulations be left as is and a letter written to the Subdividers
