The industry Relations Committee at a meeting held July
21, 1964, adopted, the following resolution for the consid-
eration of the several Planning and Zoning groups operating
within our City, County and Region:
WHEREAS certain firms and individuals have established
land usage practices through years of operation or through
recent governmental authority and
WHEREAS these firms and individuals are subjected to
conditions as -the city grows that were not present at the
time the land usage was established and
WHEREAS there are large vested .interests involved on
behalf of those who are established and those wishing to
establish,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we believe it incumbent
on the several zoning and planning groups to, wherever pos-
sible, anticipate conflicting zoning interests and provide
protection for industrial and commercial zoning from in-
fringement by residential zoning just as strongly and as
surely as residential zoning is protected by infringement
by industrial and commercial zoning.
ADOPTED THIS 21st day of July, 1964.
