The Funding session continued on Thursday, June 24 at 12:00 p.m., at the Lincoln Center. The following members were present: Board Members present: Sue Beck-Ferkiss, Ayleen Burns, Loren Hooper, Jack Steele,Jon Wilkinson Board Members absent: Marilyn Barnes, Ann Wilmsen Staff Members present: Jill Stilwell, Libby Colbert I. Call to Order- (2:38 p.m.) Ayleen Burns II. Consideration of agenda - No Changes I1I. Consideration of Minutes of May 27, 2004 There were two name spelling corrections on the minutes of May 27, 2004. Motion to accept minutes as amended -Sue Beck Ferkiss Second - Jon Wilkinson Abstain - Jack Steele (he was absent at the May 27 meeting) Yeas - Beck- Ferkiss, Bums, Hooper, Wilkinson Nays - None IV. Fort Fund Presentations - From 3:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. the Board heard presentations from organizations applying for support from Tier #2 and Tier 43 (Special Event and Fundraising) of Fort Fund. Larimer Humane Society representative did not show for presentation. VI. Museum's Education Position — The Board discussed writing a memo to council regarding un-freezing of the Museum's Education position. Staff will draft a letter and present it to the Board at the next meeting. The Board also discussed having occasional meetings with Karen Weitkunat, CRB council liaison. Ayleen Burns and Jack Steele will coordinate the next meeting with Karen Weitkunat. VIL Funding Allocations (6/24/04, 12:00 p.m.) - The Board recommended funding for the events based on numerical rankings (see attached recommendations). Jack Steele moved to not fund events that received a numerical score of 15 or less. Jon Wilkinson seconded the motion Unanimously approved There was discussion about particular events and the distribution of funds. Jack Steele moved to recommend funding in the amount of $21,325 (Fund 1 dollars) and $9,175 (Fund 2) for the June 2004 session for the events indicated on the attached document. Second - Jon Wilkinson Unanimously approved VIII. Review of Fort Fund Events -. Arts Alive: Jack Steele - Arts Alive held a marketing workshop for artists. He reported a successful workshop and the logo was used in publications. PrideFest - Jon Wilkinson - Very good event and the banner was well presented. WineFest- Ayleen Burns — No logo in program. IX. Committee Reports/Event Updates - None X. Other Business - Sue Beek Ferkiss will not be attending the July Meeting XI.
