2004 YEAR IN REVIEW:
During 2004, the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) acted on 42 variance requests
to the City Land Use Code. Thirty-eight of the variance requests were granted,
many with conditions, time limits or modifications. Four requests were denied.
No appeals of staff interpretations were heard and no decisions of the Board
were appealed to City Council.
In addition to the 42 applications acted on during the year, the Board also spent
time reviewing proposed Land Use Code amendments and providing staff with
comments and input regarding the comprehensive spring and fall code change
ordinances.
There were no applications that were particularly controversial in 2004.
