Call Meeting to Order:
Meeting called to order by staff liaison Peggy Bowers at 7:20 p.m. following ice breaker activity
and introductions.
Approval of Minutes from November 3, 2004
The minutes of the regular meeting on November 3 were unanimously approved following a
motion by Erin Rooney and seconded by Ryan Hennig.
Agenda Review:
Delete item #8 (Northside Aztlan Community Center Update).
Citizen Participation:
No citizen participation.
Agenda:
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Brendon Votipka, Ashley Stephenson, Jonathan Fanning and Ryan Hennig expressed an interest
in chairing the Youth Advisory Board. As a result of a secret ballot, Brendon Votipka was
elected chairperson. Kristie Thomas, Ryan Hennig, Ashley Stephenson and Jonathan Fanning
were placed on the ballot for vice -chairperson. Again, by secret ballot, Ryan Hennig was
elected.
FINALIZE BOARD WORK PLAN
On a motion by Ashley Stephenson and seconded by Ryan Hennig, the proposed work plan ideas
were unanimously accepted by Board members.

The work plan is as follows:
• Promote awareness of teen activities
• Connect with City Council
• Promote the Youth Advisory Board
• Get involved in fund-raising effort for the Inspiration Playground
Kristie Thomas will work on articles to promote the Youth Activity Center and the activities that
are offered there as well as promotion of the Youth Advisory Board, David Saperstone will work
on getting something going on Poudre School District's TV channel. Erin Rooney, David
Saperstone, Brendon Votipka and Kristie Thomas will work together for further promotions, and
will meet briefly at the conclusion of the YAB meeting.
City Council connection will result from getting input from teens.
Inspiration Playground fund-raiser, most likely a school challenge coin war, will be implemented
probably in April. Kristie Thomas and Erin Rooney will take the lead on this project.
YOUTH ACTIVITY CENTER UPDATE/FUND-RAISING
The participation report for November was distributed as was the December newsletter/calendar.
Dave Mosnik also handed out invitations to the Gym Grand Opening which is scheduled to take
place on Friday, December 17 at 5:00 p.m; ceremony to begin at 5:30. Refreshments will be
served, and entertainment will be provided by the band that won the recent Battle of the Bands.
Club 56 (once -a -month program for 5`h and 6th graders) is schedule for Saturday, December 4.
Volunteers are needed.
NORTHSIDE AZTLAN COMMUNITY CENTER UPDATE
No report.

ADJOURNMENT
Following a motion by David Saperstone and seconded by Ryan Hennig, the Board voted
unanimously to adjourn at 7:56 p.m.
