V. Tier 3 events funding re: seed money
No change was made to the Fort Fund guidelines on this issue. The Board agreed not to
officially encourage Tier 3 events to reserve proceeds from the funded event as seed money for
future events. If individuals on the Board would like to encourage this as their own opinion, then
they may do so during the comment portion of the funding presentation, and should qualify the
statement as their own personal opinion.
The Board decided to prepare a written statement that would include the verbal
introductory remarks usually made at the beginning of a Fort Fund funding session. The written
statement would also include the dollar amount beina awarded dmina that nm-ticulal funding

session, and restate the requirement on using the Fort Fund logo on promotional materials. Ayleen
Bums agreed to prepare the written statement and bring back to the board for review in October.
VI. Follow up to Review of DDA Presentation on New Performing Arts Center
The Board was excited and supportive of the concept of forwarding the idea of a new performing
arts center in Fort Collins and encouraged further development. The Boatel also encouraged city staff to
be involved in the process and keep the CRB abreast of any developments and how they might support
the effort. Jill Stilwell agreed to contact Chip Steiner of the DDA.
VII. November Meeting
As the regular meeting days for November and December both fall on holidays, it was decided
that the Board would join the November and December meetings on Thursday, December 4th, 12p.m.
VIII. Review of Fort Fund Events —
Several events again didn't display the Fort Fund logo (The Presto Digitators and the Sustainable
Living Fair). It was decided to add a requirement to the final report for organizations to include a sample
of their advertising to show proof they did use the logo in promotional materials.
The Board reported on the various events they attended.
LX. Committee Reports —None
X. Other Business:
Jennifer Beccard asked for clarification on how future board meeting agendas would be prepared.
Jill Stilwell said they would continue to be prepared by staff with collaboration from the chair.
A concern was raised about committee meetings requiring pubic notification. Staff will look into
this issue and determine if the Cultural Resources Board must also notify the public of a committee
meeting, and if they must meet the minimum number requirement (4).

and sandblasted into granite. The stone was then cast in concrete sidewalks as the
engineering department perfonned repairs.
