Agenda Review Amended and accepted
Announcements Jean distributed the questions to Karen W for new Commission
member interviews
No applications for CSW have been received
Jean had an article on gender bias in Colorado "Meat Factory Worker
Wins $1 5 Million Sex -bias Suit" dated Sept 2002
Business
I Essay Contest Flyers for teachers have been printed Alison will deliver flyers to
Tom Tonolr Tom said he will get the flyers to the teachers rind -November Alison
• asked about photos of last yeart participants to take to Tom Touch so he can identify
the students Jean will write a to-do list for members to use upon her departure in
Dec Members decided to use the same rubric as last year
2 Marcile N Wood Award One student asked if a man or woman could win the
award Jean said that in the Wood estate the intent may have been for a woman to
receive the award, but that `eve (the Commission) are looking for a person who has
devoted her life to improving the status of women ' Alison brought up the idea of
calling agencies Members decided to wart until Nov 1 to make calls Jean asked if
the City News had the information Alison said she had had a call from the City
News flyer Jean took flyers to the Harmony Library, CSU Women at Noon, Senior

3 Work Plan/Policy Agenda Jean said we need to start a draft to be approved at the
Nov meeting Jean suggested that we look at other plans, that we are not hooked into
any particular format Deb suggested looking at the old report and how it fits in
with Council Policy Agenda Alison will look at the areas in the report and see how
they match with the Policy Agenda Jean thought we should look at the PA and
decide what we should focus on Deb talked about the Health Dist Process of
affecting policy Alison asked for the process to be sent to her in an email Annmane
spoke to what had been done in the past with Transfort, daycare centers and
employment Community Services is part of PA and Jean would like to see that be a
part of what CSW does In an email Kristin said she thought we should research a
couple of issues to see what we could take to City Council We will work with Senior
• Advisory Board with the common link being senior women
