Chairperson Alison Mason called the meeting to order at 5:16 p.m.
Discussion
Focus of meeting was to brainstorm regarding the Electric Energy Supply Policy. Following is the
outline the Board discussed.

exceptional reliability, competitive rates in an environmentally responsible manner.
Targets & Goals
• By 2010, 10 percent of energy from renewables (non -hydro)
• Avoid building a new coal plant
• ?% in reduction of CO2 emissions generated (coal plants)
• KYOTO protocol by 2010 (7% below 1990 CO2)
• Cap/reduce per capita energy use (at 2%?) Example: X percent reduction in 20XX year, etc.
• Reduce system peak by "X megawatt by year 20XX.
• Keep electricity affordable to all.
• Keep utility competitive
• Encourage energy conservation and efficiency
• Implement a green building program that is enforced (Energy Score)
• To maintain current high reliability —> standards
• Vision: be preferred supplier of electricity and energy services
