Capital Projects
Collindale Clubhouse Project Update: Mike Sanders said that Karen Joslin-Aured was a
member of the Collindale Clubhouse Committee. Bill Ruddege was previously appointed to
serve as an alternate for the committee and he will replace Karen's position on the committee.
Tomorrow the committee is meeting with the artists for Collindale Clubhouse. Mike then
appointed Manuel Jimenez as the new alternate to the committee.
Jerry gave the Board a revised schedule for the Collindale Clubhouse timeline. We will start
construction in February (approximately) and will open mid -to -late October. The artist will
work with the interior designer and the architect. Jerry reminded the Board that we discussed
working the art into the cement work. Contractors will bid the project on January 28, 2002.
SouthRidge Patio Pavilion/Restroom/Basement: The SouthRidge project will begin
construction after Thanksgiving. The contractor is RC Heath, who were the low bid and we are
very satisfied with them as a contractor for this project. The project should be completed by
April. Jerry explained that the SouthRidge project will be south (detached) of the existing
clubhouse. The main entrance will be on the east side. Mike Sanders asked if there is an artist
rendering of the project that we could post? Jerry said he will check.
Request to Cancel the December 19 meeting: Mike Sanders said that due to the holidays and
the lack of pertinent business, he would like to cancel the December 19 meeting. On a motion by
Tom White, seconded by Byrd Curtis, the Board voted unanimously to cancel the December 19,
2001 Regular Meeting.
Other Business
• Jerry said that the American flags will be used on the greens for holidays and special
occasions only. At City Park Nine, Superintendent Dave Sadler will put an extra cup on the
fringe of the green to place the American Flag on those occasions.
Financial and Statistical Reports
Jerry reviewed the numbers for October. The weather has been phenomenal and we will
probably exceed projected revised Operating Revenues by $100,000 or more by the end of the
year.
