III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of March 21, 2001

IV. Citizen Participation
None
V. Pedestrian Accessibility Presentation
Erica Keeton of the City's Engineering Department and Ms. Martin spoke about the project, which is
the relocation of the Annual Trial Demonstration Garden to the Old Fort Collins High School Park.
The City's Engineering Department will be working on some Pedestrian Accessibility improvements
at this site. Ms Martin distributed handouts describing the project, selection, time -line, budget and
options for direction. This is a collaborative project between the State Art in Public Places Program,
the City Art in Public Places Program, and Colorado State University. Ms. Martin reported that it will
be joint ownership (the City will match CSU's art budget for a total of just over $16,000) and CSU
would maintain the artwork. There is not one specific area on the site targeted for the artwork.
There was some concern from the Board about the selection committee being too large. Ms. Martin
reported that the State APP program would run the selection committee meeting.
Mr. Sherman moved to proceed with the Requests for Proposals
Ms. Dale seconded.
VI. Four Corners Update

Ms. Martin gave updates on three areas of the Four Corners area: Bronze Pavers, the Transit
Center, and the Civic Center Office Building.
Bronze Pavers: Staff presented new designs by Andrew Dufford for three bronze pavers proposed to
be located along Mason in front of the existing Facilities Building and the proposed future location of
the Lincoln Center. This project is part of a Pedestrian Accessibility Project through the Engineering
Department and will add three more of Andrew Dufford's bronze pavers to the site.
Ms. Gram moved to proceed with the project

Civic Center Office Building — Ms. Martin reported on the progress of the project and presented
photos of the construction. She reported that installation is scheduled for Monday, 4/23.
Transit Center - Ms. Martin reported on her discussions with Design Consultant Jim Green and with
Andrew Dufford. Andrew Dufford is pleased to be part of the project and will give an update at next
month's meeting.
VH. Design Consultant Requests for Proposals
Staff presented a draft of an RFP and application for the Design Consultant Application. Staff
reported that the RFP would go out in July 2001 and the Board would select. Design Consultants at
the August 2001 meeting. The Board proofread the documents and made suggestions for
improvement.
VIH. Staff Reports — staff distributed a written report that outlined staff activities since the last meeting.
TX. Other business — Mr. Sherman spoke about the progress on the Fossil Creek Community
Park project and staff reported that they would make time for a longer discussion at the next meeting
when Andrew Dufford will be present. Mr. Sherman said that he would bring the park plans to that
meeting.
