HomeMy WebLinkAboutLIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY - MINUTES - 01/15/2025 LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES Regular Meeting. – January 15, 2025 1:00 p.m. Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held January 15, 2025, via Zoom Link, Chief Municipal Judge Jill Hueser presiding. Secretary’s Note: All applications were heard via Zoom. Staff in attendance: Holly Coulehan, Assistant City Attorney II Carrie Ripsam, Liquor Enforcement Officer Aimee Jensen, Regulatory Licensing Specialist Consent Agenda Approved  Liquor Licensing Authority meeting.  2025 Annual Report Liquor Enforcement Update Liquor Enforcement Officer Ripsam stated Fort Collins Police Services conducted random compliance checks:  January 7, 2025, visiting 12 liquor licensed establishments, 7 of which served the underage operative: a failure rate of 58.33% for the evening.  January 8, 2025, visiting 13 liquor licensed establishments, 7 of which served the underage operative: a failure rate of 53.84% for the evening. Liquor Enforcement Officer Ripsam stated the overall failure rate is 56% for 2025. New Hotel-Restaurant Liquor License Application from Birdcall CO LLC, dba Birdcall at 3300 South College Avenue, Suite 110, Approved Sam Harden, attorney representing Birdcall CO, LLC, stated he is ready to proceed. Ryan O’Haro, CEO, was sworn. In response to questions from Mr. Harden, Mr. O’Haro stated they do not have servers other than a bartender, that patrons order their food from kiosk and that alcohol cannot be served until the bartender confirms that patron is of age. He stated they do not accept vertical IDs and that they are a restaurant first. Erin McCullah, representative for Oedipus Petitioning, Inc., was sworn. She stated the result of these petitions indicate strong support for this hotel-restaurant liquor license application.
