ADJOURNMENT NEXT MEETING Date: November 6, 2025 Time: 7:00-9:00pm Location: Northside Aztlan Community Center (Eagle Room 1) #1: Active & Relaxing Recreation YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD ACTIVE RELAX Activities in a small flat area with equipment brought from home. Trees ok. Examples: • Spike Ball • Catch or pass • Bocce ball Activities near the edge of a park with lots of bike parking, picnic tables, and space for a big crowd. Trees ok. Examples: • Food Trucks • Concerts • Festivals Pickup group sports that use a large area with no trees and flexible field dimensions. Examples: • Ultimate frisbee • Pick up games • Flying a kite Organized sports with set dimensions, and scheduled play. No trees. Examples: • Soccer • Football • Lacrosse • Rugby Singular or small group random paths. Trees encouraged Examples: • Running • Dog walking • Pokemon go Large group impromptu activities that need a mix of a large open area and hills and trees Examples: • Larping • Water balloon fight • Capture the flag Hang out from above Hang out from below in the shade Observe from up high in the middle of the activity Sit at the edge of activity Hammock or swing at the edge of activity Find interesting places to hang out throughout the park. #2: Context Favorite Parks & Park Gaps YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD Which parks are your favorite? CALL TO ORDER: 7:08PM 2. ROLL CALL a. Staff Members Present – LeAnn William, and Rachel Eich c. Guest(s) - N/A 3. AGENDA REVIEW - Agenda review stated by LeAnn and Sohpie Williams 4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - N/A 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Motioned by Brooks – everyone in favor. Second by Sam, it was approved unanimously. (7:11 pm) This is the approval of the 8/30/25 meetings. 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Voting on new ideas for projects of the 2025-2026 school year. - Main ideas; art appreciation, mental health, and volunteer opportunities. 7. NEW BUSINESS • New focuses, adding environmental sustainability to the e -bike project from previous year. • Pin design, and potential new logo design. Due to budget constraints, we will be wearing a polo shirt or T-shirt. • Advertisement • Projects: Art, caring crosswalks, and working with high school NAHS and work with FOCO art board. Art projects needed for high school students. • ART Caring Crosswalks Team Leader: Sam members: Charlotte, Annie, Maia, Kacy, Kristy, Scarlett • Mental Health Charlotte; Brooks, Annie, Kristy (Fort Collins Wellness Team) • Environmental Awareness/E-Bikes. Co-Leaders: Maia and Scarlett, Team members: Brooks, Sam, Sophie, Ophelia and Kristy • Stop the Bleed Leaders: Neena and Sophie team members: Garrett, Brooks, Charlotte • Approval of E-Bike letter – approval for 14-year-olds due to underclassmen not being able to drive. Adding information about anxiety of driving. Bring overall biking campaign to high school. Make changes around unsafe driving. Introducing zippering. Mention pollution and overuse of cars and too much Co2 emissions. If this is approved, then try and bring the rate down for youth. Letter will also be sent to marketing person for grammar. • Sophie calls motion to approve, (7:54 pm) Sam motions, and Charlotte seconds. This was unanimously decided by the group. • Takes break for tour of the facility (returns @ 8:05 pm) 8. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS - Stop the Bleed CPR training 9. STAFF REPORTS - Southeast Community Center. 30% done with design— design is just northwest of fossil ridge. Group discusses features of community center. Youth input on pool and lounge seating clearly taken into account. Ordinance of 800,000 dollars on art? Report lead by LeAnn Williams. Discussion concluded @ (8:20 pm) Center will be completed in 2028 - Rolland more renovation, adding two more courts. Relocating sand volleyball courts. - The Grove concept design versus shade cannopy - Fort Bumble Branch playground 10. OTHER BUSINESS - Review letter that goes to spin 11.
