REGULAR MEETING
Wednesday February 12, 2025 – 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Dr., Fort Collins, CO, 80526
1. CALL TO ORDER: 11:32 AM
2. ROLL CALL
a. Board Members Present –Debbie Bradberry, Myles Crane, Joe Glomboski,
Suzanne King, Deanna O’Connell, Sarah Schilz.
b. Online Members Present – Alicia Durand, Karen Miller
c. Board Members Absent – David Kovach
d. Staff Members Present – Susan Gutowski, Sarah Olear, Lisa Hays
e. Guest(s) -NONE
3. AGENDA REVIEW
4. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION - None
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Sarah Schilz motioned for approval. Deanna
O’Connell seconded. All approved.
6. REOCCURRING BUISINESS
a. Recent City Council Activity –
• Susan Gutowski reported that there will be new City Council seats
open for election.
• Boards and Commissions interviews are taking place now.
b. Correspondence – None
c. Six-month Calendar Update – See agenda packet
d. Joint Project Discussion Volunteer Opportunities for Older Adults. Loveland will
partner with PAFC for the project.
7. GUEST SPEAKERS
a. Wendy Abbott – Compassionate Care Training Specialist from Centennial
Area Health Education Center (CAHEC) - See Agenda Packet for
presentation.
b. Vicki Vennell, Previous White House Press Corps Member.
8. NEW BUSINESS
a. Request for SAB Letter of Support regarding VOA Switchgrass Crossing.
Postponed until next meeting.
b. SAB Presence at Office on Aging Answers on Aging Resource Fair. - All
agreed to request a table for the fair.
c. Request for support for a flyer being distributed at the senior center regarding
the Intergenerational conversations project. The flyer will include a City Logo
on it and will be able to be distributed at the senior center.
9. COMMITTEES, EVENT ATTENDANCE & ONGOING INITIATIVES
• Housing – No report
• Transportation – No report
• Safety and Wellness – No report
• Office on Aging: Nomination forms are out for Older Americans Month awards for
outstanding volunteer and caregiver.
• Outreach to isolated communities – No report
• Senior Center – No report
• Future Speaker ideas
10. UPCOMING EVENTS & OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. Intergenerational Conversations Project. March 1st.
b. Older Americans Month May. Awards ceremony for outstanding caregiver and
volunteer will be at the Office on Aging resource fair.
