Participants should try to sign in prior to the 5:00 pm meeting start time, if possible. For public comments, the Chair will ask participants to click the “Raise Hand” button to indicate you would like to speak at that time. Staff will moderate the Teams session to ensure all participants have an opportunity to address the Board or Commission. To participate: •Use a laptop, computer, or internet-enabled smartphone. (Using earphones with a microphone will greatly improve your audio). •You need to have access to the internet. •Keep yourself on muted status. CALL TO ORDER Vice Chair Maez called the meeting to order at 5:03 PM. 2. ROLL CALL • Board Members Present – Jebrail Dempsey, Emily (Fitz) Fitzmeyer, Gina Maez, Jamie Ridgeway, Kendall Stephenson, Julie Trone • Board Members Absent – Emily Gallichotte • City of Fort Collins Staff– Kayla (Redd), Rachel Owens 3. AGENDA REVIEW • No changes. 4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION • No public participation. 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES • Jebrail Dempsey made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 26th, 2025 meeting. • Julie Trone seconded the motion. • Motion passed  AYE –Dempsey, Fitzmeyer, Maez, Ridgeway, Stephenson, Trone  NAY – None 6. BOARD UPDATES • City Charter Language o Redd provided an updated on the changes to the Charter and gradual changes to the City Code as sections are updated over time. Jamie discussed discrepancies within City Code regarding the Board’s title. • LRC Update o Gallichotte provided an email update on the two bill (SB25-003 Semiautomatic Firearms bills is signed into law, SB25-129 Legally Protected Healthcare passed the legislature, now going to the governor to sign into law). NEW BUSINESS • Alex Nelson Guest Speaker  Alex Nelson presented on the Men Engage program and organization model. • Vote on Sen. Cathy Kipp as Guest Speaker  Jebrail Dempsey made a motion to invite Cathy Kipp as a guest speaker to the Board.  Fitz Fitzmeyer seconded the motion.  Motion passed • AYE –Dempsey, Fitzmeyer, Maez, Ridgeway, Stephenson, Trone • NAY – None • Discussion on Inviting Equity Office to Meeting  The Board discussed wanting to invite the Equity Office as a guest speaker. • Review City Council’s Calendar o City Council’s Planning Calendar was reviewed and discussed for the Board’s opportunities of attendance and participation. 8. OTHER BUSINESS • Pride Month Proclamation  Redd presented the invite from the Equity Office for the Board to review and updated the language for the City’s 2025 PRIDE Proclamation. Jebrail and Jamie will work on this language.  The Board made minor adjustments to the draft proclamation language.  Julie Trone made a motion to approve the draft proclamation language with the intent to update and vote on a final draft during the May meeting.  Jamie Ridgeway seconded the motion.  Motion passed • AYE –Dempsey, Fitzmeyer, Maez, Ridgeway, Stephenson, Trone • NAY – None 9.
