Online Public Participation:
The meeting will be available to join beginning at 11:15 am, every month. Participants should
try to sign in prior to the 11:30 am meeting start time, if possible. For public comments, the Chair
will ask participants to click the “Raise Hand” button to indicate you would like to speak at that
time. Staff will moderate the Teams session to ensure all participants have an opportunity to
address the Board or Commission.
To participate:
· Use a laptop, computer, or internet-enabled smartphone. (Using earphones with a
microphone will greatly improve your audio).
· You need to have access to the internet.
· Keep yourself on muted status.

a. Reframing Aging Training taught by Kristine Burrows with the Colorado Department of
Human Services.

a. Vote for Board positions (Chair, Vice-Chair, and Vice-Chair).
b. Update on fall meeting location options.
c. Joint meeting request with Human Relations Commission, Youth Advisory Board, Disability
Advisory Board, and Women & Gender Equity Board. (Tuesday, June 17th, from 5:30-
7:30pm)

10. COMMITTEES, EVENT ATTENDANCE & ONGOING INITIATIVES
a. Housing:
b. Transportation: Suggestion to define "micromobility" transportation to (1) human powered and
(2) light electric powered; suggestion to require lights at night on modes of transportation;
reports out on Transportation Fair, which is annually; Work Session topic in May is school
safety.
c. Safety & Wellness:
d. Office on Aging: Priscilla from SummitStone and Melody for Ensight presented on increased
services to older adults. SummitStone saw an increase of over 9,000 interactions with adults
over the age of 60 between 2023 and 2024.
e. Outreach to isolated communities:
f. Senior Center: May is Older American’s Month! We are celebrating our older adults by donuts
and some small events like our Lunch & Learn: How the World has Changed on Friday, May
23rd from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, registration required (Activity# 217712-01).

a. Rachel Ruhlen Transportation Planner City of Fort Collins; Dave (DK) Kemp
Sr. Planner trails. - Presentation and discussion of the Which Wheels go
Where Project. See agenda packet for presentation slides.
• Advisory Board members shared some pros and cons of each type of
wheeled vehicles and their use in various environments.
• Continuing education on trails for proper use and prohibited
vehicles as necessary.
• E-bikes have been a game changer for people who have not
been able to ride bikes.
b. Ginny Sawyer, City Managers Office – Presentation on the Community
Capitol Improvement Program. See agenda packet for presentation slides.

c. Discussion of different meeting locations for the Senior Advisory Board.
