AFFORDABLE HOUSING BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Thursday, February 6, 2025 – 4:00-6:00 PM
222 Laporte Ave – Colorado River Room and online via Microsoft Teams

3. AGENDA REVIEW – No changes.
4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
a. Marilyn Heller
• League of women voters affordable housing team selected topic:
Supportive Housing panel including someone from Housing Catalyst,
St. Valentine’s and Loveland Housing Authority. More details to come
end of April (28th).
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Stefanie Berganini motioned to approve the January 9 Regular Meeting
Minutes. Josh Beard seconded. Approved 7-0.
6. BOARD PRIORITY COMMITTEE REPORTS (45 minutes)
a. Knowledge Repository – Bob and John
• Discussion on website tile content and process – main objective is to
place a tile on the SSD homepage dedicated to Affordable Housing
Board.
• Link examples discussed include the Loveland Housing Study, Fort
Collins Rescue Mission Website, “In the News” section, 2-1-1
Highlight
• A question was asked about tracking data, since the City is making
changes to the website, this will have to wait.
• Nina suggested information on Housing Catalyst
b. Outreach, Education and Partnerships – Claire and Josh
• Discussed process for field visits for a few meetings for outreach
• The two options to join other meetings are being added to the
Agenda or utilizing Public Comment space.
• Each board member will choose a Board or Commission to join one
meeting per year
• Discussed location options for alternate meeting locations
• CSU, Mobile Home park, United Way of Larimer County
Conference Room
c. Council and Local Legislative Support – Stefanie and John
• Stefanie brought up ADU considerations in City Council Meeting, and
Sue shared that the code was updated and Council asked for broader
language and that multi-family housing no longer has a parking limit.
• Discussed updates to one-page introduction to the work of the AHB
d. Equity & Justice in Affordable Housing – Jorja and Liz
• Updates to the Key Priority section are supported but discussion
included pairing down metrics to limit length
7. NEW BUSINESS
a. 2024 Annual Affordable Housing Board Report – John (15 minutes)
• Discussed small edits and suggestions to the report
Claire Bouchard motioned to approve the Affordable Housing Board Annual Report
Memo as amended. Stefanie Berganini seconded. Approved 7-0.
8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
b. Board Outreach Assignments, Board Members (15 minutes)
• Board Action: Assignment to visit at least once with the assigned board to
share information about the Affordable Housing Board
• Stefanie – Disability Advisory Board, Urban Renewal Authority
Board
• Josh – Parks and Recreation Board
• Liz – Transportation Board
• Bob – Human Services and Housing Funding Board
• Claire – Downtown Development Authority Board, Planning and
Zoning Commission with Jorja

10. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS
a. Meeting Logistics – Hybrid Meetings
b. Liaison Reports (10 minutes)
• Sue shared an update on the Land bank – 5-acre option to purchase
NE section of the Montava community. There has been an appeal filed
by the ditch company currently in litigation. It is expected to move
forward.
