Specifically, to allow signage on an aluminum arch that extends 2.5 feet from the face of the building. The sign is proposed for the Old Chicago Restaurant. --- Petitioner's statement of hardship: This is the new corporate image for all new Old Chicago building entrances for buildings built within the last year and a half. — Staff comments: This is a considerable projection (2.5 times more than allowed for a flushwall sign). If the Board considers granting this, specific findings should be made about what is unique to this building or property, thereby avoiding the setting of a precedent for projecting flushwall signs in other developments.
