RE: Review of Internal Affairs Administrative Investigation Case PSU2024-031
The CRB Subcommittee for the above-mentioned case has completed its review of the internal
investigation conducted by Police Services. The review was conducted pursuant to the provisions
of Section 2-144 et seq. of the Code of the City of Fort Collins.
The Subcommittee voted as follows:
1. Policy 300-Response to Resistance
• The subcommittee voted unanimously (3-0) to agree with the findings of
“exonerated”, applied to all involved employees, made as a result of the investigation.
•
2. Policy 340.3(b)-Expectation of Conduct
• The subcommittee voted unanimously (3-0) to agree with the finding of “exonerated”,
applied to all involved employees, made as a result of the investigation.
The subcommittee members communicated that given the complexity of the situation, all
involved officers conducted themselves exceptionally well and with a high level of
professionalism.
The subcommittee members would also like to take time to appreciate the work performed by
the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) as well as the FCPS Internal Affairs department to
perform a lengthy investigation and provide a well-organized report and the supporting
documentation for review.
