CALL TO ORDER • At 5:34 PM the meeting was called to order by Olga Duvall. 2. AGENDA REVIEW Adam Molzer reviewed the agenda. The Board accepted the agenda without modification. 4. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION None. 5. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS None. 6. STAFF REPORTS Adam Molzer shared that the Executive Director of the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center (SAVA), Amanda Olivier, will be leaving the organization. The new Executive Director is Alison Jones-Lockwood. Adam also shared a visual representation of the Human Services Priority Platform Framework that City staff is currently working on. Discuss Recommended Budget • City Council is currently reviewing the City Manager’s Recommended budget. Throughout September and leading up to their final budget work session on October 8, the Council solicits input from residents. During this time, Boards and Commissions may choose to submit letters to City Council expressing their perspectives on the draft budget. Last week, the Board agreed to further discuss the proposed elimination of the $150,000 continuing enhancement to Human Services grant funding. After further discussion, the Board decided to draft a letter to City Council, advocating for the retention to offer NCV 44.3 – Continuing Enhancement Human Services Program Grant Funding in the amount of $150,000. Two Board members were selected to draft the letter and once a draft is completed, Adam Molzer will share it with the entire Board for review. Adam reminded the Board that he will help facilitate the process and answer specific questions, but will not draft the content of the letter. 8. NEW BUSINESS None. 9. OTHER BUSINESS None. 10.
