PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - None 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. Myles motioned to approve the May minutes and David seconded the approval of minutes. 6. REOCCURRING BUSINESS a. Correspondence b. Six Month Calendar Update 7. GUEST SPEAKERS AND BOARD DISCUSSION a. Cyndy Luzinski – Founder and Executive Director of Dementia Together i. Cyndy shared information regarding Dementia Together and how it has impacted the community over the past few years. 1. Dementia Together is a program founded by Cyndy to help those who are diagnosed with dementia to live their best lives. 2. The program focuses on education of the family, so no one walks alone through the journey. Education, Enrichment, and Hope are the cornerstones of the program. 3. Dementia Together received the BBB torch award in 2023. 8. NEW BUSINESS a. Recent City Council Activity – Susan shared the latest news from the city council including information about moving to one trash hauler in September. b. Intermunicipal SAB meeting update – David confirmed that Loveland SAB will be attending our meeting in July, either in person or virtually. c. Officer elections i. Joe Glomboski motioned to keep the same officers currently serving for the Senior Advisory Board REGULAR MEETING Wednesday, June 12, 2024 – 11:30 AM The Fort Collins Senior Center remainder of the 2024 year. Sarah Schilz seconded. All members approved, none oppossed. ii. David Kovach was elected to remain the chair of the council. iii. Myles Crane and Alicia Durand were elected to remain the co-vice chairs. 9. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS-Roundtable minute. a. Each Senior Advisory Board Member shared how their week was going and any upcoming senior related events. 10. COMMITTEES, EVENT ATTENDANCE & ONGOING INITIATIVES – discussion about bringing back these committee reports will be revisited next month. a. Housing b. Transportation c. Safety & Wellness d. Office on Aging e. Outreach to isolated communities f. Senior Center g. Future Speaker Ideas 11. UPCOMING EVENTS & OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS 12. ADJOURNMENT a. 1:20 pm
