The meeting will be available to join beginning at 5:15pm. Participants should join at least 15 minutes prior to the 5:30pm start time. There is no physical location for public participation at this meeting. CALL TO ORDER • At 5:30 PM the meeting was called to order by Erma Woodfin. 2. AGENDA REVIEW Adam Molzer reviewed the agenda. The Board accepted the agenda without modification. 4. INTRODUCTIONS Board members introduced themselves, including the two new members, Jan Stallones and Chris Coy, who were attending a regular board meeting for the first time. 5. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION None. 6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – May 1, 2024 Special Meeting & May 8, 2024 Regular Meeting Erma Woodfin motioned to approve the May 1, 2024 meeting minutes as presented. Competitive Funding Process Update • Adam Molzer announced that City Council approved the competitive funding process recommendations on June 18, 2024. He also shared that contracts for the awarded grantees are currently underway and will be completed by the end of September. The 2024 grant term will begin on October 1, 2024. b. Human Services Priority Platform Update & Next Steps • Adam Molzer delivered a brief presentation to re-orient the Board with the HUD Consolidated Plan and Human Services Priority Platform. He also provided an update on the activities that occurred over the summer, including one-on-one interviews, focus groups, and listening sessions with nonprofit partners, local businesses, and community members. Adam’s goal is to have the final version of the Human Services Priority Platform complete by December so that it can be incorporated into the 2025 Competitive Funding Process. Several Board members followed up with questions about the projects for Adam. 9. STAFF REPORTS Adam Molzer shared that the Food Bank for Larimer County wrote a letter to the Board, thanking them for the funding awarded through the competitive process. Adam Molzer provided an update on recent and upcoming changes within the Social Sustainability Department. Meaghan Overton has transitioned from her role as Housing Manager at the City to a new role in Housing Policy with Housing Catalyst. Sue Beck-Ferkiss is currently serving as the Interim Housing Manager, and the City will conduct a broader recruitment process for the position in the fall. Additionally, Hannah Tinklenberg will be departing from her role as the HUD Team’s Grants Program Administrator in September. Lastly, the Grocery Tax Rebate Program, which was formerly housed within the Finance Department, was moved into the Social Sustainability Department in May. Adam also shared that the Regional Director of Volunteers of America, Carrier Olenick, will be leaving. When the Board reconvenes in September, the City Manager’s Recommended 2025-2026 Budget will be published. 10. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS None. 11. OTHER BUSINESS None. 12.
