Online Public Participation:
The meeting will be available to join beginning at 11:30 am. Participants should try to sign in
prior to the 11:30 am meeting start time, if possible. For public comments, the Chair will ask
participants to click the “Raise Hand” button to indicate you would like to speak at that time.
Staff will moderate the Zoom session to ensure all participants have an opportunity to address
the Board or Commission.

microphone will greatly improve your audio).

• Caitlin Shepard – A wish of a lifetime.
• See presentation.
• A wish of a lifetime is an organization that works to grant wishes to
those over the age of 65 to connect with their passions, their
purpose, or the people they love when they cannot do so on their
own.
• There are many ways to volunteer, see website.
• NEW BUSINESS
• Discussion continued regarding a plan/flow chart for addressing and following
public issues that are brought to SAB.
• Alicia and Deanna submitted a draft of the flow chart.
• Sarah will create a tracking spreadsheet of all issues brought to the board
by community members.
• BOARD MEMBER REPORTS-Roundtable minute and Announcements.
• Larimer County Office on Aging Community Fair Wednesday May 1st 12:30-
4:30pm. Older Americans Month Award Ceremony at 4:15pm.
• Intergenerational conversations project. Friday May 10th at Compass School
from 4pm – 6pm. Check with Myles for Registration.
• State conference on aging. June 6th at embassy suites in Loveland. 8am to
6pm.
• SAB May 8th meeting will be virtual only.

THE WHY?
Intergenerational programs that are built around mutuality
create a connection based in mutual contribution and
benefit. Rather than the model of charitable giving or
“serving”, mutuality is rooted in the recognition that every
participant is contributing and receiving.

Participants: Preschool-age children, primary caregiver and
nursing home residents
Program: Intergenerational music therapy

Participants: Teens/Young Adults and Older Adults who identify along
the LGBTQIA+ spectrum
Program: Through six facilitated sessions, participants learn and tell
their stories through creative digital storytelling techniques, discover
their own power through personal storytelling, and deepen
connections.
