Hi Noah,
I’d like the board to know that when we saw the build would be within two feet of our property line
and 25 ft+ tall on a lot that is already split we thought that the variance board would look at this and
say that’s not reasonable for the neighbors nor does it fit the character of the neighborhood. We
didn’t want to get involved and get in conflict with our neighbors because we live in such close
proximity. We decided to trust the process and thought we would be protected and that all sides of
the situation would be looked at objectively. It turns out there is no protection or consideration for
neighbors in projects like this.
Furthermore the strategy seems to be present a more hideous option that is code compliant so the
massive addition that exceeds the zoning limits appears to be more palatable.

Hi Noah,
I am at 107 Scott Ave. Our lot borders 1209 Mountain Ave at the back. I am writing in support of
Tom Hilinski and Becky McKeown regarding their concerns over the variance request and
remodel at 1209. Please see pictures attached for how a similar remodel with the same architect
and a variance request has impact our small 1500 sqft house. Needless to say it has permanently
changed the use of our very small space. Please keep neighbors and the neighborhood in mind
going forward so we can all live and enjoy our homes.
