CALL TO ORDER: 5:30pm 2. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION: 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 18, 2023 5. GUEST PRESENTER: o Dennis Day, Lead Specialist Emergency Management Specialist for the City of Fort Collins Emergency Preparedness and Security o MacKenzie Lowe, Larimer County ADA Coordinator o Camille Millard, Emergency Management Coordinator, Larimer County Office of Emergency Management o Ricardo Perez, Emergency Management Coordinator, Larimer County Office of Emergency Management o Valerie Turner, LETA911 6. OTHER BUSINESS/UPDATES/DISCUSSIONS: Feedback on the Emergency Preparedness presentation. MacKenzie Lowe, ADA Coordinator at Larimer County supports programs, services, and departments meeting accessibility needs, along with working with the community on ADA. Resource for the County- Larimer County only has jurisdiction over the jail. MacKenzie networks with peers for Housing inquiries. Works Rocky Mountain ADA, HUD, and with employment/ HR and the JAN Network. MacKenzie – Let us know what is not working. Did we miss anything in the presentation that we need to do better with Emergency Responsiveness. What if something is not compliant with the ADA? MacKenzie; If it is someone with the City or County in addressing grievances - Jeni Kohles and I work close together so either one of us can assist you. We have a lot of resources. Jeni the ADA Coordinator for the City can assist where needed. Jo Carol – DRS, Disability Resources Services – Low Vision Programing, work with Larimer County Client Council and the newly formed Transit Rider Union. Really good information shared during the presentation. Any concerns the Committee wants to share? Great information: however, gathering information together for a “Go Bag” can be a challenge. Look at getting a grant to help. The County website - add a section for emergency preparedness with a link for those in the disability community can add information into the database then a case manager can reach out and consult with them on that information – where to get a Go Bag for their particular needs. How do you get to the site to enter your information? How well is it known? ~You can add information – such as restricted mobility assistance. Is there a link at the County Website for awareness of NoCo Alert. MacKenzie will add a link to NoCo Alert. Community Recognition Awards Ceremony. Subcommittee update - Scott, Jaclyn, and Jeni will meet in mid-July to go over logistics. Rachel is working on the announcement writing. Savanah Overturf, poet- Jo – knows her and others. He will reach out to her to contact us. Terry Schlicting updated work being done on Dial-A-Ride Appeals board training. Discussions of the DAR application continues. review of other applications. Questionnaire – what is reasonable information and what is over-shared. Application is available on-line recommend Board members look it over. Working with Katlyn Kelly to streamline the process. 7.
