Council Liaison: Ray Martinez 11 Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on March 3, 2003 in Municipal Court, Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Teresa Ablao, Assistant City Attorney Robert Younger, Liquor Enforcement Officer Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there are no changes to the agenda as presented. Consent Agenda The Consent Agenda is intended to expedite the meeting and allow the Authority to spend its time on important items on an agenda. Items on the Consent Agenda are (1) routine items; and (2) those of no perceived controversy. Anyone may request that an item be pulled" off the Consent Agenda and considered separately. Items pulled from the Consent Agenda will be considered under "Other Business" at the end of the meeting. a. Transfer of Ownership of Gasamat #110. 1054 West Vine. from Gasamat Oil Corporation of Colorado. to The Cigarette Store Corporation and Trade Name Change to Smoker Friendly/Gasamat. Judge Lane adopted the Consent Agenda. Registration of Matt Mitchell as Manager of Red Robin, 701 Harmony Road, Approved Matt Mitchell, manager applicant, briefly described the training he has received through Red Robin's corporate offices. He stated there are 47 employees responsible for the sale and service of alcohol. Mr. Mitchell stated they do compliance checks weekly on their employees. He stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is terminated. Mr. Mitchell stated he has the liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved Matt Mitchell as manager of Red Robin, 701 Harmony Road. March 3, 2003 Registration of Paul Schickler as Manager of the Moot House, 2626 South College Avenue. Approved Paul Schickler, manager applicant, stated he has terminated an employee for not properly carding a patron. He briefly described the training program he has completed and that all employees are required to attend. Mr. Schickler stated employees are required to card any patron that appears to be 35 years of age or younger. He stated he has the liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved Paul Schickler as manager of the Moot House, 2626 South College Avenue. Registration of Zachry Crow as Manager of Austin's American Grill, 100 West Mountain Avenue. Approve Zachry Crow, manager applicant, briefly described his background. He stated he has completed T.I.P.'s training. Mr. Crow stated there are 5 - 9 employees serving alcohol on each shift. He stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is terminated. Mr. Crow stated employees are aware of the consequences of violating the liquor code. He stated he has a copy of the liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved Zachry Crow as manager of Austin's American Grill, 100 West Mountain Avenue. Registration of Alan Jantzen as Manager of Austin's American Grill, 2815 Harmony Road, Approved Alan Jantzen, manager applicant, briefly described his background. He stated he has managed restaurants for 15 years. Mr. Jantzen stated he has completed T.I.P.'s training and that there are 30 employees responsible for the sale and service of alcohol. He stated he has not had a liquor code violation. Mr. Jantzen stated he has a liquor code on premise. He briefly described the companies policy regarding the consequences of liquor code violations. Judge Lane approved the registration of Alan Jantzen as manager of Austin's American Grill, 2815 Harmony Road. 0 March 3, 2003 Transfer of Ownership of The Woods at Collindale from Wilcox, Inc., to Braun's Bar and Grill at Collindale, LLC and Trade Name Change to Braun's Bar and Grill at Collindale Approved Ken Deline, representative for Braun's Bar and Grill at Collindale, LLC, stated he also owns the Braun's at the Pepsi Center. He stated he has not had a liquor code violation. Mr. Deline stated he will not be involved in the day to day operations. He confirmed that the diagrams were accurate. Mr. Deline stated Scott Manning will be responsible for the day to day operations. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of The Woods at Collindale from Wilcox, Inc., to Braun's Bar and Grill at Collindale, LLC and Trade Name Change to Braun's Bar and Grill at Collindale. Registration of Scott Manning as Manager of Braun's Bar and Grill at Collindale, 1441 East Horsetooth, Anntoved Scott Manning, representative for the applicant, briefly described his background. He stated all employees will be T.I.P.'s certified. Mr. Manning stated he will terminate any employee that is negligent in properly carding patrons. He stated he will not tolerate visibly intoxicated patrons. Mr. Manning stated employees will be required to card any patron that appears to be 35 years of age or younger. Judge Lane approved the registration of Scott Manning as manager of Braun's Bar and Grill at Collindale, 1441 East Horsetooth. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 2:35 p.m. A ue. Municipal Judge
