They will be ready to approve at the September meeting. 6. Participants should try to sign in prior to the 5:30 pm meeting start time, if possible. MacKenzie Lowe, ADA Coordinator at Larimer County supports programs, services, and departments meeting accessibility needs, along with working with the community on ADA. Resource for the County- Larimer County only has jurisdiction over the jail. MacKenzie networks with peers for Housing inquiries. Works Rocky Mountain ADA, HUD, and with employment/ HR and the JAN Network. MacKenzie – Let us know what is not working. Did we miss anything in the presentation that we need to do better with Emergency Responsiveness. What if something is not compliant with the ADA? MacKenzie; If it is someone with the City or County in addressing grievances - Jeni Kohles and I work close together so either one of us can assist you. We have a lot of resources. Jeni the ADA Coordinator for the City can assist where needed. Jo Carol – DRS, Disability Resources Services – Low Vision Programing, work with Larimer County Client Council and the newly formed Transit Rider Union. Really good information shared during the presentation. Any concerns the Committee wants to share? Great information: however, gathering information together for a “Go Bag” can be a challenge. Look at getting a grant to help. The County website - add a section for emergency preparedness with a link for those in the disability community can add information into the database then a case manager can reach out and consult with them on that information – where to get a Go Bag for their particular needs. How do you get to the site to enter your information? How well is it known? ~You can add information – such as restricted mobility assistance. Is there a link at the County Website for awareness of NoCo Alert. MacKenzie will add a link to NoCo Alert. Community Recognition Awards Ceremony. Subcommittee update - Scott, Jaclyn, and Jeni will meet in mid-July to go over logistics. Rachael is working on the announcement writing. Savanah Overture, poet- Jo – knows her and others. He will reach out to her to contact us. Terry Schlicting updated work being done on Dial-A-Ride Appeals board training. Discussions of the DAR application continues. review of other applications. Questionnaire – what is reasonable information and what is over-shared. Application is available on-line recommend Board members look it over. Working with Katlyn Kelly to streamline the process. 7.NEW BUSINESS: 8.FUTURE AGENDA REVIEW: July: Katlyn Kelly, Transfort, Quarterly update, Cory Schmidt August: Solara Clark, Cultural Services, City of Fort Collins, Fort Fund Cultural Arts Funding Program, Promoting accessibility. 9.ADJOUN: 5:35pm About Fort Fund •Fort Fund was started in 1989 •The City of Fort Collins invests in arts and culture by allocating a portion of the lodging tax revenues •Applications are reviewed by the City of Fort Collins’ Cultural Resources Board •In 2023, 55 applicants and $455,000 awarded Who is Fort Fund for? •Nonprofit arts and culture organizations •Tourist events •Individuals or groups applying under a fiscal sponsor How does it work? •Organizations apply via ZoomGrants •Applications are vetted by staff •Cultural Resources Board scores individually •Scores are determined using Olympic Scoring. Applicants need 75 or above to receive funding •Cultural Resources Board recommends funding to City Council •City Council approves New Guidelines Proposed •Focus on equity and inclusion •New grant categories –Special Event Grant –Program Support Grant –Cross Sector Impact Grant •Budget limit on requests •New applications and scoring criteria •Translation for guidelines and applications. Proposed Scoring Criteria •Does the applicant collect data regarding audience demographics, audience involvement and tourists in attendance? •Does the proposed event provide a direct public benefit? •Does the proposed programming expand the opportunities for residents, visitors and tourists to actively participate and engage in Fort Collins’ arts and cultural life? •Is the proposed programming accessible to audiences, including individuals with disabilities, economically disadvantaged individuals, and/or historically underserved communities? Cross-Sector Impact Grant •Supports collaborative work between different sectors to improve the community’s health and well-being through arts and culture. •“Arts & …” themes such as arts and health, arts and lifelong learning, arts and science, etc. •Example of community program: –Fort Collins Symphony: B-Sharp Program –Arts & Aging, Arts & Health –Immersive experience of music for dementia patients and their caregivers.
