REGULAR MEETING
October 7, 2021
4:30-5:30pm: Tour of CSU Powerhouse Energy Campus, 430 N College Ave #425
• Please arrive as close to 4:30pm as possible. The full tour takes 1 hour. We will start as soon as all
attending Board members are present and can cut it short as needed.
• Per CSU guidelines, masks are required inside of the Powerhouse facility regardless of vaccination
status.
• Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes as they are required in some areas of the building. Long
pants are also encouraged.
• Parking at the Powerhouse facility is limited, so in the event that you are unable to find a space in
our main lot you are welcome to park in one of the two nearby lots that are just a short walk from
Powerhouse. No pass/fee is required for any of these lots. You can find directions to the building
and an interactive map of our parking locations at the bottom of the Contact Us page

• A Recreation van will transport any Board members without personal transportation back to
Northside Aztlan Center after the tour for the regular meeting.

1. CALL TO ORDER – Dimitry called the meeting to order at 5:45pm.
2. ROLL CALL
a. Members in attendance: Dimitry Volchansky; Riya Sajjan; Rahul Goush
b. Members absent: Dylan Lindsey; Eva Calva; Sean Alcazar-Chavez; Kristin Mera-
Cano
c. Staff Present: Sarah Gagne (Staff Liaison, Recreation)

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (September 2021) – postponed until next meeting
5. NEW BUSINESS
a. New Member Introductions
• Riya Sajjan – Riya joined the board because she feels that today’s youth are faced
with a lot of challenges and believes this is an opportunity to share and find solutions.
6. DISCUSSION ITEMS
a. Review updated 2021 Work Plan Dylan absent – this item is moved to November meeting as
Dylan had offered to rework a draft and bring to the Board for review.
7. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS (COMMITTEES, EVENT ATTENDANCE, ETC.)
a. Update on 9/25 Youth Climate Action Event - none
b. Update on Council Meeting Attendance - none

c. Update on 9/30 Active Modes Plan Community Advisory Committee meeting
• Dimitry attended. Main focus of the committee is in promoting bike and public
transportation, including evaluation of e-bikes, scooters, etc. and also ensuring safety

• Round table discussion/questions
o Dimitry wants to hear other youth voices and find that connection with
others
• Compare annual Work Plans
• Sarah will work with Loveland staff liaison to set up future meeting date options.
