CALL TO ORDER – Aaron Rodriguez – 5:32pm 2. ROLL CALL a. Present: Aaron Rodriguez, Melissa Rosas, Elizabeth Grant, Mark Partridge, Shamera Loose, Cassandra Moore, Todd Newhouse b. Board Members Absent: none c. Staff Members Present: Adam McCambridge (FCPS), Adam Ruehlen (FCPS) d. Guests: none 3. AGENDA REVIEW 4. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION - none 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. New business : “one’s business” TWICE, remove second as typo b. Change dates on Jan-June minutes in header from 2020 to 2021 c. Motion to approve with correction by Shamera, second by Mark. Unanimous 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS a. 2020 Annual report b. Workplan from January will cover the following year c. Highlights: • 2020 reviewed 5 cases • 2019 reviewed 4 cases • 2018 reviewed 3 cases • Vice-chair changed twice through 2020 • Chair and Vice are reviewing voicemail and email regularly • Did not complete item #3, due to Covid restrictions, aligns with other board and commissions results • Trainings: Mock subcommittee training has happened for all committee members, Todd and Beth have not completed yet, but will be in 2021 • Discussion: Shamera noticed that 2017 has a lot of cases that were reviewed. Mark noted that we had an interim chief at that time and many cases were being reviewed to help assure activity during the intirum. • Christine will correct: #1 goal 4 cases in 2019. Other dates that say 2019 will be updated to 2020. 7. NEW BUSINESS a. Voicemail: none b. E-mail: none c. FCPS Adam McCambridge: d. Ride-along program is open, CRB members will be requesting a ride-along according to committee goals. Adam suggests ride-along’s on Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights, especially when CSU returns. Those are the busiest nights with the best experience. There is no set amount of time that you ride along, a couple of hours is suggested to get a good experience. e. Walk-along’s are available on weekend nights with an officer. f. Sit-along’s are also available with dispatch g. Previous board members note that it helps to understand the perspective of the officers when considering cases under review. h. August meeting will have Firearms’ training. Meeting will be at Northern Colorado Law Enforcement Center at 5300 Boyd Lake Ave Loveland, 80538. 5:30-7:00pm expectation for meeting. i. Public are welcome to attend the meeting and this training as well, closed toed shoes are suggested, no attire requirements involved. j. Adam Ruehlen was promoted to Lieutenant, so he will no longer attend CRB meetings. 8. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS Example is if CRB members engage with other boards, organizations, etc and can update this board about community-involved events 9. Shamera – requests to find out more about the SRO program in the schools, what are the requirements/process to become an SRO a. Adam suggests he can add this to the training schedule for this year 10. Shamera – is a member of the Larimer County Dive and Rescue and they will be doing a “walk the river” training with FCPS on July 22, 2021 4-6pm Found on Larimer County Dive and Rescue calendar on their website. 11. Cassandra – the county jail is doing much better on vaccination rates, estimated that 60-80% of inmates are vaccinated, with adjustment for turn-over for the inmate population. Jails are returning to normal with mental health services. 12. OTHER BUSINESS 13. ADJOURNMENT - 5:57pm Motion to adjourn by Cassandra, second by Shamera. Unanimous
