1. CALL TO ORDER
a. This meeting was called to order at 5:32pm.
2. ROLL CALL
a. Members in attendance: Dylan Lindsey; Dimitry Volchansky; Eva Calva; Rahul Goush, Kristin
Mera-Cano
b. Members absent: Sean Alcazar-Chavez
c. Staff Present: Sarah Gagne (Staff Liaison, Recreation), Tammi Pusheck (Interim City Clerk,
City Clerk’s Office)
3. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION (none)
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (May 2021)
a. Dylan made a motion to approve the minutes, they were seconded and approved as
presented.
5. NEW BUSINESS
a. Welcome Back/Member Introductions
• Those in attendance introduced themselves with names, pronouns, current District
residency, and reasons for joining the Youth Advisory Board.
6. DISCUSSION ITEMS
a. Boards & Commissions Manual
• Current manual is being updated with City Attorney’s Office. Sarah will forward to
group when it is available.
• New members are being interviewed and recommended to Council to fill vacant
positions.
b. Review 2021 Work Plan
• Dylan read through preliminary Work Plan that board members contributed to
between Jan-May. Current Board Members were solicited for additional ideas and
instructed to email Dylan Lindsey dylanlindsey0322@gmail.com. Dylan will type

additional ideas and create expanded format to present to the Board in October.
c. Review City Council Planning Calendar
• Dylan and Dimitry commented on upcoming dates and issues on the calendar. Board
members are encouraged to attend for the Public Hearing on September 21st. Sarah
will send out current City Budget information with Minutes for review prior to the 9/21
meeting. The Board will work to draft a letter of recommendation for future budget
recommendations to Council for the 10/12 board meeting.
7. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS (COMMITTEES, EVENT ATTENDANCE ETC.)
a. Dylan reviewed the letter that was drafted, signed at the May 2021 board meeting, and
ultimately delivered to City Council. He forwarded councilmember acknowledgement and
support of YAB involvement to board members.
8. OTHER BUSINESS
a. Sarah provided information on the upcoming Youth Climate Action Event on Sept. 25th, from
10am-4pm. Board members are encouraged to learn more at
https://sustainablelivingassociation.org/events/youth-climate-action/. Additionally, the Climate
Guide can be viewed HERE.
• Several board members expressed intention to attend and can report back to the
Board in October.
b. Request for Fall session engagement opportunities/meeting locations & tours
• Sarah and Tammi discussed whether there was anything in City Charter preventing
the Board meeting with the City of Loveland Youth Advisory Board to discuss
opportunities for collaboration. Tammi stated that this type of collaboration would be
ideal for the Board. This may be an option for future meetings, or for a
networking/social event.
• CSU Engineering Powerhouse, 222 Laporte (Connexion building), the Streets
Department building, and transportation hubs were all noted as potential locations for
future tours/presentations.
9. ADJOURNMENT: Dylan moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:00pm
