CALL TO ORDER: 5:30 PM
ROLL CALL
Board Members Present – Will Flowers (Chair), Tedi Cox, Vicki Fogel Mykles (Vice Chair),
Aquiles Quiroga, Jesse Solomon, Jennifer Zidon
Board Members Absent - Zackery Klassen
Staff Members Present - Jim McDonald, Liz Irvine, Michelle Provaznik
Guests: David Slivken, Executive Director, Poudre River Public Library District, Katy
Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins
AGENDA REVIEW
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
APPROV AL OF MINUTES
Consideration and approval of the Minutes from October 22, 2020. Jesse Solomon asked
that the minutes be amended to reflect Chris Schmidt being added to the citizen participation
section. Jesse Solomon made a motion to accept the Minutes as amended. Vicki Fogel
Mykles seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Approved by roll call, Ayes:
Will Flowers, Tedi Cox, Vicki Fogel Mykles, Aquiles Quiroga, Jesse Solomon, Jennifer Zidon.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS
David Slivken, Executive Director, Poudre River Public Library District
o Presentation of library services available during the pandemic.
Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins
o The occupancy rate for September was 68%. Lodging tax collections down 58%
(year over year).
o Working with steering committee to pursue a Tourism Business Improvement
District.
o Visit Fort Collins was awarded money for a regional marketing campaign for
sanctioned creative districts.
o Currently working on an audio walking tour of Fort Collins.
Michelle Provaznik, Director, The Gardens on Spring Creek
o Presented a video of The Gardens on Spring Creek’s activities that were completed
during the pandemic. Michelle updated the Board on future activities to come
including live music.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Jim McDonald confirmed with the Board that the next meeting will be December 17, 2020.
BOARD MEMBER REPORTS:
Vicki Fogel Mykles updated the Board with information regarding some of the Fort Fund
grantees. She received reports from: The Gardens on Spring Creek, The Fort Collins
Children’s Theater, The Fort Collins Museum of Art and Poudre Landmarks Foundation.
She is waiting to hear from The Global Village Museum, The Center for Fine Art
Photography and The Health and Wellness Orchestra. Jim McDonald informed the Board
that he had a meeting with the Health and Wellness Orchestra. He also informed the Board
that The Center for Fine Art Photography’s exhibit “A Right to Herself” is currently at The
Lincoln Center and is also available online.
Will Flowers attended a workshop at Launch: Community Through Skateboarding.
Tedi Cox has viewed International Keyboard Odyssiad Festival’s virtual concerts.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Vicki Fogel Mykles had a question regarding Fort Fund’s logo placement. Jim McDonald
clarified that the positioning is dependent on which type of grant.
Jennifer Zidon had a question regarding future funding for Fort Fund. Jim McDonald
explained how the Fort Fund budget process works.
Jesse Solomon had a question regarding the Downtown Business Association. Jim
McDonald informed the Board that their contract had not been processed since they are
currently closed for business.
ADJOURNMENT:
Vickie Fogel Mykles made a motion to adjourn at 6:58 PM. Jennifer Zidon seconded the
motion. The motion passed unanimously. Approved by roll call, Ayes: Will Flowers, Tedi
Cox, Vicki Fogel Mykles, Aquiles Quiroga, Jesse Solomon, Jennifer Zidon.
